About Terra Forest

Terra Forest was born from a straightforward idea: Colombia's vast plains and transition forests are among the most biodiverse — and most threatened — landscapes on earth. The people who live there have been stewarding these ecosystems for generations. And the global economy has finally caught up with what they've always known: healthy forests are worth more standing than cleared.

We're a Colombian–German team with roots in Colombia and networks across Europe. Our founders have been planting native trees for over 20 years. One part of our team helped create the first biodiversity bank in South America. Another built the commercial and technical bridges that connect Colombian forests to international carbon and product markets.

Today, Terra Forest develops high-quality afforestation and reforestation projects using native species — working side by side with Indigenous communities, private landowners, and institutional investors. We combine ecological rigour with economic pragmatism, because forests that don't generate value don't get protected.

Our projects produce premium carbon credits, native oils, and measurable biodiversity recovery — multiple streams of value from a single restored landscape.

We've been selected by GIZ (on behalf of Germany's Federal Development Ministry) as one of the leading ventures in sustainable forest business. Our partners include some of Europe's most respected forestry investors.

Over 1.5 million native trees. More than 1,600 hectares in active operation. And a 20,000-hectare indigenous reforestation pipeline.

We're just getting started.

Our principles

We are committed to developing sustainable forestry projects that contribute to environmental conservation. We also work with the local communities, involving them in the projects at different stages.

Carbon removal
Sustainability

Our main objective is to capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reduce the impact of climate change. We seek a balance between good carbon dioxide sequestration while creating conditions for increased biodiversity.

We create new spaces to promote biodiversity and protect endangered species. In our projects we seek to have as many native species as possible combined with other species that have been successful according to the soils.
